Abigail Peckham, a Rhode Island local, is a current 3L at the University of Massachusetts School of Law. After graduating from Providence College, she had the opportunity to work closely with commercial and construction industry arbitration and mediation cases during her tenure at the American Arbitration Association. With this background in arbitration and mediation, law school has been the most recent chapter in her commitment to pursuing justice and giving back to her community. Accountability, fairness, and ensuring access to justice are just a few of her driving motivators. Abigail thrived while working with the Massachusetts’ Attorney General’s Office, and that experience solidified her desire to engage in meaningful work with a focus on community development, accessible legal education and representation.
When Abigail is not busy with her studies, she is most likely tending to her responsibilities as the current Editor-in-Chief of her school’s Law Review or helping new students in her office hours as a teaching assistant. For Abigail individual accomplishments are not representative of success. Indeed, success is measured by the collective achievements of the members within her communities. Outside of school and work she is an avid gardener, yoga practitioner, dog-cat-chicken mom, and rock climber. She is thrilled to be working with the WRO team and contributing to firm’s mission of actualizing client goals through a holistic legal approach.
